Questions

Metropolia UAS — the questions applicants actually ask

It depends on the programme, which is why a site-wide “no IELTS” claim is wrong. The Nursing Top-Up requires IELTS 6.5, PTE 55 or TOEFL 60 plus an interview, because placements are with Finnish-speaking patients. The Software Engineering and Industrial Management diplomas do not require a certificate — English is assessed in the university's own online interview.
The Software Engineering and Industrial Management diplomas both have a January 2027 intake. The Nursing Top-Up is estimated at March 2027 and is confirmed once the cohort is formed.
The two diplomas are €12,500 as a one-time fee plus a €100 application fee. The Nursing Top-Up is estimated at €12,500 a year. Tuition is separate from the funds you must evidence for a residence permit.
€9,600 for the study year — €800 a month — evidenced to Migri, and it is separate from tuition. A spouse adds €8,400 and a first child €7,320.
Yes, an average of 30 hours a week across the year, which is 1,560 hours annually. It is an annual average rather than a weekly cap, and credited internships and thesis work are exempt when agreed in advance.
